Material Introduction: LLDPE SABIC 218WJ is a high‑performance linear low‑density polyethylene. It features easy processability, good tensile properties, impact strength and optical performance, mainly applied for blown‑film products.
Main Applications
Various packaging bags: shopping bags, garbage bags, inner liner bags.
Laminated & co‑extruded films: laminated films, co‑extruded films and consumer‑goods packaging.
Other film products: thin liners.

Blown‑Film Processing
For mainstream blown‑film extrusion, temperature, pressure and other parameters shall be optimized according to equipment, film thickness and performance requirements. General processing temperature range for LLDPE blown‑film: 150‑210 ℃.
Blown‑Film Processing Notes
‑ Shear sensitivity: LLDPE presents low shear sensitivity and maintains higher viscosity under shearing such as extrusion, which makes it harder to process than LDPE with identical MFR. ‑ Equipment requirements: Extruders for LLDPE may require higher driving power, higher melt temperature and pressure. Die gap shall be widened (e.g. from LDPE 0.024‑0.040 inch to 0.060‑0.10 inch) to avoid excessive back‑pressure and melt fracture. ‑ Bubble stability: LLDPE blown‑film bubble stability is inferior to LDPE. Dual‑lip air ring is recommended to improve cooling and bubble stability. ‑ Blending for better processability: Many film producers blend LLDPE with LDPE (e.g. 50 % each) to optimize processability and raise output capacity。
